Iseo is a beautifully unhurried record, the kind that seems to breathe in its own time. Jesse Peterson’s long running project unfolds here in a warm, immersive space where ambient textures, acoustic detail, field recordings and gently exploratory composition all drift together with real ease. There’s a soft, human quality running through it all, with the title track shaped like a lullaby and the wider album leaning into subtle electronics, melodic warmth and a loose, open ended feel. With contributions from the likes of Laraaji, Carlos Niño, Mia Doi Todd and others, it has that lovely Music From Memory balance of introspection and colour. Deep enough to sink into, but never heavy handed.
