Brothers Nick and Jordan Smart draw on a world of influences including techno, electronica, neo-classical and post-rock, combined with their own inventive, diy processes on this latest outing for Gondwana Records. Previously referred to as "Jon Hopkin's long-lost siblings" "Night Lands" channels the brothers love for electronic music through rich textures, burial-esque rhythmic patterns, warm analogue motifs and a deep musical knowledge. Emotionally driven, and highly atmospheric with strong dystopian themes throughout these tracks would make a great sci-fi soundtrack. Highly Recommended!
