Selassie I Rockers - 30 Pieces Of Dub

A proper little slice of early 80s Jamaican dub, originally put together by producer Winston Curtis in 1983. '30 Pieces Of Dub' moves through tuff, stripped back rhythms with the occasional deejay floating in and out, keeping things raw and rootsy rather than overly polished. It’s the kind of compilation that feels assembled from several different sessions, which only adds to its charm - melodica, heavy bass, spacey effects and all. Long overdue back on vinyl.
