My Definition of Bass lands on Klasse Wrecks with Ability II, Luca Lozano, and DJ Steve threading generations together. Ability II, aka David Duncan, is a Leeds bleep techno pioneer best known for his 1990 classic Pressure Dub. On this release, Lozano and DJ Steve jam it out on one side, layering acid infected grooves and crisp drum machine fizz, topped with original vocals from Ability II himself. Flick it over and Ability II gets on dub duties, rolling out deep, dubbed steppers and bleepy edges aimed straight at the bassbins. Four versions built for soundsystems: rugged, soulful, and full of nods to both warehouse days and street soul history. Proper time spanning pressure from legends and new school heads.
