Freshly remastered from the original DATs, both OG cuts of Underkut’s heavyweight old skool breakbeat slammer Both Ends are back on Super Rhythm Trax. Originally dropped in 1991, it quickly took on near mythical status and copies of the first pressing have been thin on the ground, and pricey, ever since. All out damage, a savage break, monstrous bassline and that gritty, heads down energy. While digging through the tapes an unheard ’91 version also surfaced, included here as a proper period artefact that really pulls out the tune’s Hip Hop streak. A chance to grab a serious bit of history for sensible money, and, bottom line, one of those tracks that still absolutely tears the place to bits.
