Koshiri Hino, a member of the Japanese band goat and known for his electronic music as YPY, collaborates with sound artist and cellist Yuki Nakagawa on their debut album Metal Zone as KAKUHAN. The album evokes the sensation of Autechre transmitting fractured rhythms within a vast, reverberating metal space, accompanied by Hildur Guðnadóttir’s haunting cello. The result is a captivating fusion of futuristic rhythms and dissonant classical influences reminiscent of Gyorgy Ligeti and Krzysztof Penderecki.
