Jacques Thollot - Watch Devil Go
SouffleContinu Records bring us another Jef Gilson/Palm classic. This one from one of Gilson's first and longest serving drummers Jacques Thollot. Though barely sixteen years old, Thollot was already on drums on the first albums by Gilson starting in 1963 and would play in his big band (alongside François Jeanneau once again), ‘Europamerica’, until the end of the 70s. "Watch The Devil Go" is a delicate, poetic jazz trip, teetering on the edge of classical.
