Charlie Morrow, Sten Hanson, Carles Santos - The Heavyweight Sound Fight
By far one of the most unusual oddities we've ever had come through the shop. Ideal Recordings transport us back 40 years to a boxing gym in New York City for a heavyweight soundclash. However, this isn't your regular two system stack reggae soundclash, welcome to the world of New York's avant-garde 1981. ‘The Heavyweight Sound Fight’ takes place with Charlie Morrow (USA) vs Carles Santos (Spain), backed up by Soho Baroque Opera Company and the New Wilderness Foundation. Sten Hanson is the referee and Armand Schwerner is the master of ceremonies. A highly interesting and light shedding piece of work that comes with a great sense of humour thats not often found in the experimental music scene. Give it a go, it's an absolute hoot!
