In February 2022, dubquake unveiled 'Ina Vanguard Style,' a documentary delving into the roots of Iration Steppas, transporting viewers back to the 90's when founders Mark Iration and Dennis Rootical began crafting groundbreaking dub tracks. The film introduces a new generation to Iration Steppas' early project, Kitachi, which gained swift acclaim, leading to live performances alongside third member Jack Roobles. Now, the time has come to reissue Kitachi's inaugural full-length album, 'A Strong Unit,' a 1-hour-20-minute journey fusing year 3000 dub with trip-hop and rave influences. Originally released in 1996 and produced at High Rise studio in Leeds, the album shares its timeline with Iration Steppas' classic 'Original Dub D.A.T.' LP, setting the stage for Kitachi to tour with iconic acts like The Prodigy in the 90's. Featuring standout tracks 'Kitachi in Dubwize,' 'Constructive,' and 'Stalking,' 'A Strong Unit' promises an explosive adventure for Vanguard of Dub enthusiasts, bass aficionados, and dedicated fans alike.
