More great stuff from Jon K and Elle Andrews’ MAL imprint. For 004 they've enlisted Rory Salter aka Malvern Brume, who's name you may recognise from previous releases on the likes of Alter, Kasual Plastik, Infant Tree and Low Company. Here we find Malvern Brume's work in one of it's most murky and reduced states. Using found sound, field recordings and spoken word, Brume melts these down in to finely reduced, at times discomforting, pulsating rhythms that create an overwhelming industrial texture that place the music into a world all of it's own.
