Cosmic Shuffling - Love In Portofino

Cosmic Shuffling put their unique Jamaican Rocksteady spin on Fred Buscaglione's 1958 Italian Soul classic "Love In Portofino". Wistful guitars ride the rhythm section with beautiful vocals over a Cuban Bolero inspired rhythm with classic bouncy Rocksteady grooves and sweet horns to top it all off. The B-side of the record features jazz standard ‘THE SHADOW OF YOUR SMILE’ well known of rocksteady lovers thanks to Tommy McCook’s magical interpretation from 1967. Surprisingly, Jamaican artists never recorded a vocal version of the song. That’s why Cosmic Shuffling did its own version: a superb love letter between alto saxophone and vocals.
